LIGHTNING-FAST Geelong draftee Jordan Murdoch will miss tomorrow's VFL clash against Casey after breaking his finger in innocuous fashion last week.

Murdoch copped a footy to the finger before last Friday night's match against Bendigo and failed to take any part in the game.

The 20-year-old had surgery this week to have a small pin inserted and faces up to six weeks on the sidelines.

EMERGING Geelong spearhead Mitch Brown led Geelong to a commanding 86-point win over Bendigo Gold at Queen Elizabeth Oval last night.

The tall forward kicked a bag of nine goals in a performance sure to gain the attention of senior coach Chris Scott.

Brown was backed up by fellow talls Josh Walker (four goals) and Shane Kersten (three goals) in the Cats' 23.9 (147) to 8.13 (61) win.
