THE already inexperienced TSL team has a huge hole to fill after the withdrawal of arguably the state's most skilled player, Clarence captain Cameron Thurley.

Thurley, a former Geelong and North Melbourne utility as well as a Devils veteran, underwent groin surgery in the off-season and has to manage the injury to get through the year and avoid the doctor's knife again.

TONIGHT'S VFL tribunal outcome will have huge ramifications for the season of Geelong defender David Wojcinski.

Wojcinski yesterday accepted a one-match ban for striking youngster Jack Viney in Saturday's VFL loss, but must face the tribunal on a serious rough conduct charge.

FRANKSTON co-captain Luke Potts suffered a knee injury in the Dolphins' 36-point loss to Box Hill Hawks on Saturday.

"We won't know until Wednesday how he pulls up," Frankston coach Simon Goosey said.

Potts came back on after injuring the knee, but was hobbling after the game.

SANDRINGHAM forward Jackson Coleman booted five goals in a break-out performance in the Zebras' 38-point win over Bendigo Gold at Trevor Barker Beach Oval yesterday.

Coleman, who turned down a contract with the Victorian Bushrangers cricket team to pursue his AFL dream, remains in the AFL recruiters' eyes.
