Williamstown / Western Bulldogs alignment official.

After seeing the footage on Ch10 news, I did some searching and came up with these. Also announced was the appointment of Brad Gotch as Williamstown Coach for the next two years. Brad will also take up a full time Development Coach role with the Western Bulldogs and will assist in the development of their young players as well as the Williamstown listed players. Williamstown President Trevor Monti said "It is a momentous day for Williamstown as they have forged an alignment with the other biggest club in the western suburbs the Western Bulldogs. Williamstown sees great opportunity for both clubs to achieve success from the alignment and the club looks forward to working closely with the Western Bulldogs Coaches and Staff in achieving great things in the future". Western Bulldogs Coach Rodney Eade and President David Smorgon both expressed their delight in the alignment with the Western Bulldogs hopeful that a full time VFL Senior Coach will assist in the development of their players. They look forward to working with Williamstown and are genuinely excited about the possibilities that lie ahead for both clubs in this alignment. Williamstown Football Club will continue to play all home games at Burbank Oval and will utilise the Whitten Oval for training during the summer and possibly one night a week throughout the season.
