Went to Sandy's AGM on Monday night....great to listen to new coach Andy Lovell's plans for the team...got 2 new assistant coaches...one being Paul Hopgood and the the name of the other escapes me at the moment...but he's ex Melbourne who has been coaching in the country...
Interestingly, Lovell knocked back a request from Leigh Matthews at Brisbane to join their coaching staff up there to take the Sandy job instead...
A question re Danny Hughes was raised and he has a long term injury that requires surgery which is why Melbourne dropped him off their rookie list...
