Not too much noise from Beach Road this off-season, going about their business quietly as usual, could be a little different for the Zebs this year though. Will be affected by Martin and especially Valenti being Melbourne listed, and counting in the 12 instead of the 10, so to speak.
With Gallagher effectively out for the year, and Melbourne no longer having a number of very good VFL players on their list (Motlop, Godfrey, Rigoni, Walsh, Ferguson, Ward, Bizzell, Williams etc from the three-peat years), could this be the year that Sandringham slips from the top rung to the 5-8 positions?
They will still be more than competitive, but they did look a bit vulnerable in last year's finals without those experienced players.
