As with the revamp of the competition in the year 2000, I believe Port Melbourne and Collingwood will meet again in the first week of the 2008 season.
The head to head margin is now 6 wins apiece (from memory) after the Gavan Brown led Collingwoods big win in the season opener back in 2000. Brown now coaches the Pies VFL side. Without going back to check squad lists, I think the only player at Port to have players that game that are still at the club is possibly Ryan McMahon.
