Sentanta O'hailpan was today promoted from the Carlton rookie list to its senior list.
A bit of a surprise that it would happen so soon. I suspect they are thinking about picking him for this week AFL game. His last 2 games for the Bullants playing out of the goal square have been really good, while his performence against Sandringham before that was ok. Prior to that he had really struggled.
I think he would be better off playing the whole season in the VFL. I think by playing him so soon in the AFL it may impinge on his chances of being able to cope with the pressures of AFL.
I have a continual beef with the way Carlton seems to manage it's players. They don't seem to be getting the most out of their list, which is thin to say the least and a part of that beef comes back to how they treat the allignment with the Bullants.
I would say the Bullants/Carlton allignment is the worst of the lot and I think the Carlton football department should take most of the blame.
