Northern Bullants V Werribee
One of the best games of the season with Werribee really pushing the Bullants. Werribee's hard running had the Bullants off the 'bit' for most of the game and an upset loomed as the Tigers kicked out to a 22-point lead midway through the third term. Like good teams do, the Bullants lifted and finished all over the Tigers, kicking eight of the last nine goals of the game. For the first time this season the Bullants took 15 AFL listed players into the game and appeared top heavy, although Adrian Deluca [3 Goals]and Dylan McLaren had a big say in the final result. The normally watertight Bullants defence went into the match conceeding an average of 57 points a game, was tested by Werribee despite Podsiadly spending the first half down back minding Digby Morrell. Jarrod Garth was the best of the Tigers forwards finishing with four goals. Two games plus percentage ahead of Sandringham the Bullants look assured of top spot. The Bullants face Box Hill and Bendigo at home with games against Nth Ballarat and Coburg away to finish off the season.
