Real stuff begins (Arrivals/Departures)
Body:
From the Moreland Leader Real stuff begins, by Brad Bishop HIS side might have touched up the Bendigo Bombers in a practice match hit-out a few weeks back but Coburg Tigers' David Flood is expecting a much tougher contest when the side's clash at Bendigo's QEO in the opening round of the VFL season this Saturday night. Coburg beat a second-string Bombers' outfit by "eight or nine goals" that day - the same weekend Richmond gave Essendon a caning - with Flood recognising this weekend will be a different story. "They (Bendigo Bombers) had a lot of players out that day," Flood said. "I'm expecting a good tough game this weekend." "We play them up at Bendigo, which is a nice, big ground and will hopefully suit our younger players." As soon as this weekend's match is over the Tigers will turn their attention to the following Saturday's clash with Springvale - their first home game of 2005. Coburg general manager Des Ryan said the Tigers were hopefull of a massive turnout for the clash with one of last season's battlers. * Anyone seeking a membership can get one by phoning the club on 9453 8288 Coburg Tigers arrivals: Adam Houlihan (Richmond), Josh Houlihan (St Kilda), Michael Rix (Hawthorn), Dean Disipio, Ryan Hurst, Steve Kenna, Dale May, Lachlan McKinnon, Paul Orton, Daniel Rajab, Daniel Sandle, Jake Thomas (Calder Cannons), James Rimmington (Oakleigh Chargers), Daniel Strachan (Eastern Rangers), Michael Cassinides (Pascoe Vale), Sam Watson (Aberfeldie), Rhys Monteath (WAFL), Johnno Mullins (NT).
