Leederville Oval
Leederville Oval is a suburban style WAFL ground situated about two kms North-West of the city centre. For the few VFL supporters who may be flying across for the game (believe it or not quite a few SANFL supporters did last year), the ground can be got to by train from Perth Central station by travelling on the Currambine line which stops at Leederville station. There are three entry gates located at Oxford Street (about 100 metres from the corner of Oxford and Vincent), Vincent Street and Loftus Street (behind the main carpark in the shadow of the scoreboard). The ground is the home of the Subiaco Lions and the East Perth Royals. Both clubs have their own social club, bar and members stand, although the major grandstand is split in two halves (figuratively speaking) and shared by both clubs. Both social club bars will be open on the day and all visitors are welcome. After match presentations take place for all clubs in the WAFL and if there are to be any for this match it will take place in the social club bar of one of the two host clubs. There is also a tin shed style stand (common at WAFL grounds) in the foward pocket at the Northern or technical college end. The outer is currently being redeveloped. The higher parts of the outer grass bank are currently fenced off. The capacity of the ground is temporarily only about 6000. Hopefully, the rain will subside for the game. It has been raining in Perth almost everyday for the last five weeks. Sitting in the outer over that time hasn't been comfortable to say the least. Good luck to all who make the journey across.
