Despite the ordinary conditions (the worst of which luckily happened at half-time), Port had a good hit out, with Ghazi's side narrowly defeating Filandia's squad by about 2 or 3 points.

Rudd looks to have bulked up, and looks like he could have a big impact on the clubs fortunes this season. Gibson on Shore was an interesting match-up, Gibson having the better of Shore, and gathered a lot of possessions. Hamish contiunes to impress and I would expect him to play for North next week. David Pitt was the major goal scorer, and marked strongly on a couple of occasions playing out of the goalsquare.
Only injury appeared to be David Trotter who came from the field with a leg injury and didn't return.
Next weeks two games against Frankston might now be played on the Sunday at Sandringham.
It looks like there has been a fair bit of footy played on the TBO recently, the surface wasn't great.
