It's very Interesting today that the last time these 2 teams met in a tv game at Carr St oval Frankston was way back in season 1990.
On this day they were playing for the Jim Renouf shielf he played over 200 games for Frankston and was tragically killed in 1979.
That same week Jack Hamilton who coach at Frankston 1959-1960 passed away so the boys in the commentary team gave tribute to him.
Frankstons Coach was -Russell Rowe
Port Melb Coach was -Brett Yorgey
The ABC team back then was
Peter Gee
Sam kekovich
Phil Cleary
Ross Booth-Boundary rider
Another interesting stat was that Port hadn't won there since season 1982.
So there run at that ground is not the best.
Would like to know what others would think about this but being it's 150 years of football they should bring back all the old commentators above with the new team line up it would be very special thing.
