Well after a few spelling mistakes on the front cover of the VFL Record in recent weeks (such as Finn Chisholm last week instead of Flinn), AFL Victoria have this week gone one better in their TAC Cup Record.
The front cover says "Johnny Rayner’s Jets to ambush Murray" with a big photo of Johnny. And its sort of true. The Jets are Johnnys team and the Jets do play Murray this week. The problem is Johnny hasnt played for the Jets since May 17 and is out for the season with a major injury. Surely AFL Victoria should've realised this, and surely they could've found a more up to date photo of somebody wearing a Jets jumper!
The standard of the VFL and TAC Cup Records has worsened a lot in recent times.
At AFL Victoria more and more good people who were passionate about what they did - such as David Code and Stacey Goad - have gone and I'm not sure their replacements are as on the ball. Someone in there should pick these errors up.
