Preston officials have apparently met with the AFL in a bid for financial assistance, and are also requesting donations from anyone who's able. I highly advise checking the club's social accounts to donate if you can. Without support their chances of surviving to 2026 are slim.

R20 Coburg v Port Melbourne

Another very disappointing fade-out. I must sounds like a broken record!

Coburg just finished stronger and kicked the last three goals if the game in front of a very good Sunday crowd in superb conditions.

I'm not sure what I can say about Port. We aren't a bad side... But we don't use the ball enough and aren't winning enough of the footy in the middle I feel.. Our attacks are really set up out of the back line.

VFL R19 - Port v Preston

Great day down at Port under glorious sunshine. It's a bit of a shame that there weren't more people there to watch an entertaining game of footy. Crowds have dropped off recently, maybe due to poor results, too many night games and not enough traditional 2pm Sunday games...

Full credit to the club, who put on a free kids entertainment day with a DJ, Band, Facepainting and snacks.

The Run Home

Hi people. I've done a bit of a ladder predictor......there are so many games that could alter the table in the next few weeks, but I think most of my predictions here are reasonable.....

Box Hill – currently 52/143.5 – Southport (A) L, Footscray (H) W, Casey (A) W – Predicted Finish 60/145 – 1st

Losses to both Footscray and Southport could see them drop to 2nd or even 3rd. Still likely to finish top.

Footscray – currently 48/134.5 – GWS Giants (H) W, Box Hill (A) L, Carlton (H) W – Predicted Finish 56/137 – 3rd
