ONE of Warrnambool’s favourite sons made a successful homecoming as VFL club Geelong slogged its way to victory against Coburg yesterday.
Simon Hogan, a former Blues junior, returned to Reid Oval to help the Cats run away from the Tigers, 10.21 (81) to 5.5 (35), on a chopped-up playing surface.

A FOCUSED North Ballarat claimed a pivotal seven-point win over Williamstown in the VFL at Burbank Oval yesterday.
This lifts the Selkirk Roosters above the Seagulls and into the top eight for the first time since the opening round.
It also gives North Ballarat five wins in its past six games after being one in six.

Port Melbourne more demolishes than defeats teams at North Port Oval, and when it hustled to an early lead against Sandringham on Saturday, it appeared the Borough was on course for another cushy victory.
