No tipster selected seven winners where the jackpot will now be $90.

Tipster that picks seven winners will collect. If more than one tipster selects seven winners, the tipster nearest the aggregate score will collect. If no tipster picks seven winners, the jackpot will be $120 for Round 18.

Steve 'Liston' Allender was one of three tipsters who topped the round with six winners and now finds himself with 80 winners and 3 tips off the lead. He would have been proud of the borough's win against the bees.

Graham Cooper also picked six winners. Graham ventured to North Port Oval (Teac Oval) for Port's win against Werribee was an old Box Hill Mustangs supporter who frequently went to grounds like Westgarth Street Oval, Toorak Park and Yarraville Oval in the late 70s and early 80s.

Laurie 'Hoggy' Holmes was the other tipster who picked seven winners. Hoggy still supports Box Hill where his grandfather played for Box Hill who would have been called the Whitehorse's back in the 30s and
40s.

Last Meeting: Round 8 May 25th at Frankston. Frankston 23-23(161) def Tasmania 15-5(95)

Frankston are playing well after coming off good home wins against Port Melbourne and Bendigo while Tasmania have been thumped by Sandringham and Port Melbourne. The Devils future in the competition is on the line in the last month of the season but the Dolphins should win comfortably.

Collingwood(5-11 12th) vs Werribee(9-7 5th) at MC Labour Park 1pm
Last Meeting: Round 8 May 24th at Werribee. Werribee 18-18(126) def Collingwood 10-11(71)

A danger game for the Tigers it is a must win if they want a top 4 spot. They are coming off a big loss to the Borough while the Pies are in good form at the moment after wins against Bendigo and Geelong. Werribee narrowly.

Port Melbourne(12-4 3rd) vs Williamstown(13-3 2nd) at TEAC Oval 1:10pm(ABC1,Casey Radio)
Last Meeting: Round 3 April 12th at Williamstown. Williamstown 24-7(151) def Port Melbourne 17-12(114)

This the match of the round. How big can a game get between the two arch rivals? Both teams are coming off massive wins and are in great form. This will be a cliffhanger.A huge crowd will rock up to Port Melbourne for this one.

Coburg Tigers(8-8 7th) vs Northern Bullants(8-8 8th) at Coburg City Oval 2pm(3XX 1611)
Last Meeting: Round 2 April 6th at Preston. Northern Bullants 16-11(107) def Coburg Tigers 15-14(104)

Another huge game. A win for either side and they will consolidate their spot in the top 8. A loss and they may drop out of top 8 depending on how the Zebras go. This game should also draw a big crowd.

Last Meeting: Round 9 June 9th at Box Hill. Bendigo Bombers 18-11(119) def Box Hill Hawks 12-12(84)

Box Hill savours upset win

From the Sunday Age
Reported by Xavier Smerdon

BOX HILL climbed off the bottom of the VFL ladder yesterday with a surprise victory against fourth-placed Casey.

Victory seemed a distant dream at quarter-time when the Hawks trailed a more determined Casey by 16 points.

And when the Hawks started the second term as they played the first — giving away more free kicks than they could afford — hopes of an upset faded.

Yet, despite some undisciplined play the Hawks somehow managed to reduce the half-time margin to 12 points.

Williamstown has given the Tassie Devils an absolute flogging at Bellerive Oval.

The Seagulls kicked 31-14- 200 to 7-7-49.

Seagulls coach, Brad Gotch, says the win sets the side up well as the season heads towards finals.

"It gives us that little bit of momentum going forward," Gotch said.
