Has anyone ever compiled a list of all the channel 0/10 VFA games?
Like these days with ABC what did they base their decision on when choosing the game to broadcast?
How many clubs never got a VFA game televised?
StationHotel probably has the most comprehensive collection.
* It's time to restore the VFA name.
Channel 0 televised the VFA from 1967 to 1986. The ABC have televised from 1987 to current. Channel 2 also covered early games from 1957 until around 1963.
Channel 0 also covered Saturday games as well as Sunday on most weeks from 1967 until mid/late 70s. I have a semi list compiled as does Station Hotel. Probably Cobrascorer would have a more up to date list of channel 0 games televised.
Cookgalea they also televised practice games in the early 70s. In 1971 they televised a game between Preston v Eaglehawk.
You can research a full list if you go to the Museum and go through the TV Guides.
Try check the age if they are online.
Thanks Vfa. It's something I might try & do. It shouldn't be too hard just a day in the library.
...just a day in the library.
...And what a productive way to spend the day!!! ;)
