CASEY Scorpions remain in the hunt for a top-four berth after a six-point win over Williamstown in the penultimate round at Casey Fields yesterday.
And livewire North Melbourne forwards Corey Jones and Lindsay Thomas put on a show for North Ballarat with eight goals between them in the Roosters' 72-point demolition of Bendigo Bombers.
Almost half the young Scorpions team had played fewer than 10 senior matches but they remained a premiership contender after a spirited victory, coming from 11 points down at the last change to topple the inaccurate Seagulls 9.13 (67) to 7.19 (61).
