The Werribee Football Club have now entered their third week of pre season training, under Senior Coach Barry Prendergast and new Fitness Adviser Steven Kretiuk. Kretiuk, will also play for the club next season.

" I have tried to vary the training for the players and by conducting sessions at Whitten Oval, Victoria University, Little River and other venues, I know that this can only benefit everybody" Kretiuk stated.

Kretiuk continued " there are many young local players that are participating in training, naturally many of them were nervous, but the current Werribee players have made the new guys, feel very comfortable".

" This is a new experience for myself as well, but one that I am enjoying " Kretiuk stated.

I wonder how many they have trying out during pre-season training? Looks like a couple of Werribee Tigers will be Rookie-listed to the Doggies.

From memory, I think Port normally has around 100-120 try out, and they cut down the list about 3 times before finalising it by mid-March.
