Several players from the VFL were picked up in this years National AFL Draft. With the pre-season draft traditionally being the draft that most clubs pick more mature-age players, it is a good indication of the skills going around in the VFL.

Interesting to see that Aaron Davey who was probably the most heavily promoted VFL-listed player was not picked.

Maybe clubs are looking to rookie-list him as a "project-player" ?
