Hi people. I've done a bit of a ladder predictor......there are so many games that could alter the table in the next few weeks, but I think most of my predictions here are reasonable.....

Box Hill – currently 52/143.5 – Southport (A) L, Footscray (H) W, Casey (A) W – Predicted Finish 60/145 – 1st

Losses to both Footscray and Southport could see them drop to 2nd or even 3rd. Still likely to finish top.

Footscray – currently 48/134.5 – GWS Giants (H) W, Box Hill (A) L, Carlton (H) W – Predicted Finish 56/137 – 3rd

Should comfortably win two of their three, but a loss to Box Hill could see them lose second and play an away final at Southport.

Southport – currently 46/140.0 – Box Hill (H) W, Werribee (A) W, North Melbourne (H) W – Predicted Finish 58/145 – 2nd

A win over Box Hill could see them pinch a home final finishing 2nd. Should win their other two comfortably to finish at least 3rd.

GWS Giants – currently 40/121.1 – Footscray (A) L, Bye, Gold Coast (A) W – Predicted Finish 44/118 – 6th

Given their bye in round 21, they must beat Footscray away or rely on Frankston or Brisbane slipping to have any chance of top 4.

Frankston – currently 40/110.5 – Carlton (H) W, North Melbourne (A) W, Brisbane (H) L – Predicted Finish 48/112 – 5th

Should be able to account for stuttering Carlton and North. Likely face a mini-final against Brisbane in last game to pinch a top 4 spot.

Brisbane – currently 40/109.0 – Coburg (A) W, Casey (H) W, Frankston (A) W – Predicted Finish 52/114 – 4th

Face a tricky run with 3 finals contenders. A slip in any of the three would likely see them miss top 4.

Collingwood – currently 40/101.3 – Williamstown (A) L, Bye, Port Melbourne (A) W – Predicted Finish 44/101 – 8th

In trouble with a bye in round 21. Must beat Williamstown to avoid a wildcard final.

Richmond – currently 40/99.7 – Gold Coast (A) L, Sandringham (H) W, Williamstown (A) L – Predicted Finish 44/98 9th

Fate in their hands. A win at Gold Coast would see them back in the hunt for top 4. A loss would see them in danger of a wildcard. Williamstown looms as a huge last round game.

Casey – currently 38/137.7 – Bye, Brisbane (A) L, Box Hill (H) L – Predicted Finish 38/132 – 10th

With a bye and two tough games to finish, could be lucky to sneak into the last wildcard spot. Upset wins over Brisbane or Box Hill could see them move up significantly.

Williamstown – currently 36/104.5 – Collingwood (H) W, Bye, Richmond (H) W – Predicted Finish 44/108 – 7th

Tricky draw with a bye sandwiched between contenders Collingwood and Richmond. Two wins should see them 6th or 7th. Two losses and they could miss altogether.

Coburg – currently 32/106.4 – Brisbane (H) L, Port Melbourne (H) W, Bye – Predicted Finish 36/105 – 11th

Last round bye tells against them. Really must upset Brisbane this week to have any real chance to sneak in.

North Melbourne – currently 30/102.4 – Sandringham (A) W, Frankston (H) L, Southport (A) L – Predicted Finish 34/100 – 13th

Should beat Sandy but will struggle with the last two. Must cause at least one upset to sneak into wildcard spot.

Geelong – currently 28/96.0 – Bye, Essendon (H) W, Sydney (A) W – Predicted Finish 36/99 – 12th

With the bye, realistically can’t make it.

Carlton – currently 28/93.4 – Frankston (A) L, Gold Coast (H) W, Footscray (A) L – Predicted Finish 32/91 – 14th

Would have to upset Frankston and Footscray and rely on other results.
