Promising news on the Port Melbourne Future Fund. With the fund not being even a day old and with the help of No 1 ticket holder Scotty Cam, Ports future fund has managed to raised over five and a half thousand $$$$$$$$$$$$

Any Port fan (and any fan of the VFL EVEN WILLIAMSTOWN)  we are happy to take your money. Donations can be made by clicking the below link

The club has a goal of $200,000.

Long way to go to match Willy's $4 million.

May be a little less nowadays CGull after the recent sharemarket retraction, but its in good hands and will rebound eventually

Nope, money from the pokies and other sources that has been put into a sharemarket portfolio over the last few years

CGull

Just hope my modest portfolio rebounds as well Wal ,Mega perhaps the good folk of Bay st are too astute to tip their hard earned into the Rex unlike those poor saps in Newport.

Your right, Port has a long way to go to get to 4 mil but they are doing ok. A great start with over 6k donated so far which is obviously separate to what Port already has in assets and cash reserves.

As for the Rex, it's still making money but gaming revenue is down in general.

wouldn't worry too much CGull as long as you have blue chip shares with big balance sheets, just remember the GFC and October 1987, it all rebonds eventually, if you have Dividend Reinvestment it even works out in your favour, getting more shares at a lower price if they are still paying dividends, nothing much being poured into the coffers at Mason St just recently, roller doors have been down for weeks and the pokie addicts have allegedly overcome their addictions and realise there is another life outside pokie joints
