VFL merchandise

How would you rate your clubs range of 'gear' in recent seasons. My general perception is that all clubs have made huge improvement t in the range of available apparel.  Werribee in particular, with all the standalone clubs making a really good range of options for supporters.

What does your club do well and what does your club need to provide?

Frankstons merchandise is ok, puffer jackets, vests, hoodies, caps, beanies and scarves. Nothing out of the ordinary but good quality and reasonable prices. Doubt they sell a lot as good discounts are always available later in the year. I used to buy a track suit jacket every year but they dont sell them anymore.

The thing Frankston needs to improve on is their social media output. The info provided on those pages is next to nothing and the frequency of posts is abysmal. They really need to improve in connecting with their members and keeping us in the loop and creating interest in whats happening around the club. Its been poor for many years - the only time it was any good was when Paul did it many years ago.

The club website is fair and has improved a lot in the last few years, but still miles behind clubs like Port and Willy.

Regarding social media, I like the members email from Port that comes out every few weeks which has club news, match reports etc

Does Frankston have a post match upload with anybody from the club ? Ports got Borough TV which is a few minutes of a wrap up with Gary Ayres. A few years ago it was awesome, had a good variety of content and some episodes would go for 15 minutes or so.

Last year there was a Dolphins Digital Media team and they were ok during the season. There was video interviews and match reports etc, and some general interest stuff but once last season finished theres hardly been anything. On twitter, there was an ad put up to sell club memberships on Feb 4 - previous entry was Nov 19.

Members still have no idea who has left the club. Towards the end of last year there were a few posts of new and re-signed players, but nothing since about November. There is the occasional letter from Geddes to the members but it generally  doesn't give much information on the team and comings and goings. Certainly plenty of room for improvement in terms of communication with members and fans.

Port has a few issues with stock last season and hoping that this year that gets resolved. The key items I look for are scarves, beanies, caps and hoodies. Essential winter gear.

Things that are needed at VFL venues are umbrellas and ponchos. It would be good to have club branded options.

Regarding Social media, Williamstown, Coburg and Port are clear leaders.

Forgot to mention that Frankston gives you a $20 voucher to use on club merchandise when you buy a membership which is terrific.

That is a great initiative Bearsman.

Frankston membership packages are really good and give great incentive to join up. 4 different levels, with varying discounts available on club and sponsors products, and a rewards program etc.

Red level membership $70

Black level membership $100

Platinum $1000

Past Players package $50

They have everyone covered and have excellent value available in each package. Kudos to Adrian Lloyd and the club.
