NORTH Ballarat took full toll of a struggling Frankston yesterday to claim top position on the Victorian Football League ladder.
The reigning premier has become accustomed to leading the pack over the past few years, but this is the first time the Selkirk Roosters have been number one this season.

NORTH Ballarat last night called up Nick Couch to make his VFL senior debut against Frankston at Frankston tomorrow.

CAPTAIN Shaune Moloney becomes the first North Ballarat player to achieve Victorian Football League life membership on Sunday.
He automatically attains the honour on playing his 175th VFL senior game against Frankston at Frankston.

Selkirk Roosters coach Gerard FitzGerald said Moloney was an outstanding ambassador for North Ballarat and the competition.

"He's worked very hard on his football and has had an outstanding career.

Stung by a loss to Casey, the Selkirk Roosters produced their most attacking brand of football for the season to thump Box Hill by 54 points.
Before cutting loose though to reach 18.11 (119) to 10.5 (65), North Ballarat was at its defensive best.
