KYLE Matthews took the first step towards a comeback to the VFL when he trained with the Casey Scorpions last Monday.
Matthews missed the entire 2010 season after being bashed outside a nightclub in March.
He suffered a fractured skull and bleeding on the brain.
Casey coach Bradley Gotch said Matthews looked fit and trained strongly. It was obvious he’d been doing a fair bit of work,†he said
