THE Casey Scorpions have won the race to sign Brendan Fevola.
Leader understands the axed Brisbane Lions’ management will soon issue a press release indicating his preference is to play with the Scorpions in the Victorian Football League.
Casey general manager Brian Woodman would not comment this afternoon but it’s understood Scorpions coach Bradley Gotch spoke with the two-time Coleman Medal champion at length earlier today.
Casey and Port Melbourne were considered the frontrunners to recruit Fevola, who is from Beaconsfield.
