As tuesday's AFL pre-season draft looms closer, several VFL players are hoping to be the lucky ones drafted by an AFL club.

With the Western Bulldogs picking up Jade Rawlings at pick one, and Carlton taking Nick Stevens at pick two, Melbourne has the first live pick in the draft. The Demons are strongly favoured to grab former Northern Territory youngster Aaron Davey at pick three, after he starred for Port Melbourne in the VFL this season. Kristian De Pasquale of the Coburg Tigers has also nominated, and would be hoping to be picked up by Richmond with one of their two picks in the draft.
