VFL Round 7 GWS vs Frankston
Body:

Good tough win by the Dolphs - real old fashioned wet weather slog, between two evenly matched teams which eventually came down to who wanted the win most. Was always going the be Frankston if they held their composure, which they did strongly until the end.

Big difference having Matt Johnson in form. Critical to the side when he's up and about. At the other end Max Williams has become a worry. Only 4 possesions yesterday and while hes not expected to get big numbers it appears he may be carrying an injury judging by yesterdays effort. Hes going for marks one handed and is not committing his body to the packs. At his best he crashes packs and knocks the ball forward and this is quite obviously missing. Had injuries early in the season so hopefully its not still that, and he will be back to top form soon. Incredibly important to the backline and we will be in trouble without him.

Dolphs have set up up a huge night at Kinetic Stadium vs Sydney on Friday. This should be a cracker!

Dolphins can beat the swans especially at home under lights

This coming week is looming as a winnable game, and a chance to go past last year's win record with not even half the season played. From what I've heard the Swans were actually really keen to play down here under lights and in front of what will hopefully be a big crowd.

I'd like to see the club put out an advertisement that the Swans AFL game will be shown in the clubrooms on Friday night, in an effort to entice Swans supporters to come to the ground. Hopefully we can draw another strong crowd. And if the Dolphins manage another win, the lid may well be off by the end of the week.

So proud of how the boys bounced back from the Geelong debacle. Held their composure and played confident footy despite the wet. So many who were at their worst in Geelong were among the best this week, and that's really heartening to see that desire to put a bad one behind them. That's our first interstate win since the Tassie days if my memory is correct, and against good opposition. Definitely augurs well for the Sydney game this Friday which should see a big crowd under lights.

Butland back in was a very handy inclusion and worked hard to get the ball to the smalls, few stats but lots of influence.. Sharp looked good again and must be feeling pretty confident right now. Hopefully we continue to get a few more back from injury, we're going to need them with a tough few weeks ahead. And yes Bearsman, Johnson is a match winner on a good day. I feel he might be in for another big one on Friday night.

Sometimes you've got to win ugly, pumped with that win on the road, showed a lot of character!

Couldn't agree more Paul.....setbacks happen, but the response to them is what really counts. These boys have character!
