Every game is streamed free anyway, so if that continues and it was a choice between no TV or pay TV in addition to that it'd be an easy choice for mine.
I would hope that Kayo improve their production over the last time they covered the VFL. I really don’t see why the ABC would be interested in broadcasting was is effectively the AFL reserves.

I would have thought that Kayo would just do AFL curtain raiser games where they already had cameras and commentator facilities already set up. I think there would be very little interest in the VFA/VFL clubs.
I'd still much prefer the ABC option. I had really hoped we might have heard more by now.
You could see them offering all the current livestream games on Kayo freebies to drive up their 'content' and then having one paywalled game of the week they produce themselves. Anyway, it's all just speculation at the moment. Very much hope ABC does a game of the week.

Still no word on a broadcaster for the 2026 season. Surely if it's a done deal then we must be close to an official statement if it is going ahead.
