Why do they bother delaying the rest of the fixture like this? We know it's finalised. If you're going to wait this long then at least drop the whole thing at once.
Why in the world do we have to play Gold Coast in Gold Coast when they play in Victoria in the afl round do the pricks who decide the fixture not realize how much interstate travel costs standalone clubs bloody stitch up
That's because Richmond don't care about the vfl and prefer to have them playing at similar timeslots so that they can do recovery together recommence training as a group.
As for interstate costs- is the afl still funding interstate travel and accommodation costs for stand alone clubs ?

I'M PORT MELBURNE BORN, I'M PORT MELBOURNE BRED, I'LL BE PORT UNTIL I'M DEAD!!!
To my understanding they provide flight costs for the selected team and a bare minimum amount of staff, and prefer to have them fly in and out on the same day. Anything more than that has to come out of the travelling club's pocket. This is based on what I've heard around my own club.

Shows how little the afl clubs care that they are playing at the same time as the afl side
