How many young guys with ambitions of being drafted are going to want to play in the VFL next year and into the future when we are lucky to get in half a season at best while the WAFL hasn't stopped in the last two years and the SANFL may have stopped for a week or two? Where's your best chance of being drafted? Sure as hell isn't in the VFL.
