..Any chance of a proper scoreboard.
Also the lack of a time clock is piss poor and should not be allowed at the elite state level that the VFA/VFL is.
Apparently they had only 1 type of beer. A scoreboard that should be in some ground in the bush no time clock...
Yeah they are happy to come back to windy hill. They are also happy to erect some tempory fencing so no supporters can get in.
How about spending a few bob on getting the ground upto a quality standard. It's pathetic that simple things like this are not at the ground.
The away change rooms are a joke as well.
At Carlton today there was only a tiny fence scoreboard for the majority of the couple of hundred spectators. The electric one was not visible to most, and it went haywire from the third quarter onwards, displaying the scores and time elapsed between displays of nonsense.
I didn't go to Victoria Park this season, but last season there was only a fence scoreboard, which, to be seen, I had to be "elevated" above the curvature of the oval. The electric scoreboard was not in use, but it would be behind the majority of spectators.
Then there was the farce at Casey Fields last season when both electronic boards failed and there was no back-up board.
Windy Hill should have a proper scoreboard if it is to have football matches played there.
All I can think of is that they wont bother with any type of upgrades as they are moving to Essendon Fields shortly.
Very valid comments. At one stage I heard people saying Ports 2 points ahead - when scores were level (coz they took so long to change the scores). It took a few minutes for me to find that board and I would imagine those who are hard of sight would struggle to read it from the other side of the ground. As for the time clock - yeah pretty average not having one - makes this league look more like a local kick in the park sunday league rather than the 2nd best competition in the world.
I was always saying to people next to me - how much time left - how much time left - one person would say yeah 5 minutes the other one owuld say yeah 1 minute - common we dn't expect much but we expect better than that.

Footscray will be the same next year if they dont do something as there is no scoreboard and the only public toilets are in the bistro
.With no outside fencing these games a literally played as paddock football = not a good look for the supposed #1 league outside the AFL in Melbourne.
It wasn't that long ago when the timeclock at North Port was't working....and that was during a finals series if I remember correctly.
Yes but that was because it had a unexpected fault which is different to not even making the effort to provide one.
Also at the start of the last quarter they closed the bar even though there was plenty of beer in the tubs behind the register
Is there still only the one public one-man urinal at Windy Hill?
Yep 3 sit down toilets, no urinals.
