Shocking news
Shocking news in the family of Santo Caruso from Melbourne Sports Books who was also an umpire in the old VFA. Not sure if this link works http://www.news.com.au/heraldsun/story/0,21985,23957541-661,00.html Most likely make tonight's news

Brilliant bookstore that Santo runs - I would pop in there probably four or five times a year. Always such a lovely bloke, and his parents were often there helping out, along's with Santo's dog. Like myself, he was a Prahran fan.

I'm an irregular visitor to the store but I remember both of Santo's parents helping out - all of them lovely polite people. It's a shocking thing to happen and my condolences to the family.

Good friend to many country people.

I saw this as well and my jaw dropped straight away. I often visit his store and he's always happy to have a chat. Condolences to Santo and his family.

That is horrible - I have a friend who moved to Vic 20 years ago who took me to the Melb sport store when he first moved there. Awesome place - a place with soul, the reason people are in to and follow sport. My thoughts are with the family from Tassie
