Body:
The 12/10 rule should bring the borough much closer.
Williamstown v Port Melbourne games always brings the best from both teams. Will be a lot closer than it looks on paper.
Other games next week
Casey/Springvale v Box Hill
New ground at Casey Fields and will be interesting to see how many people turn up. Box Hill have only a 4 day break and don't like their chances.
Tassie at home to Geelong playing at Belerive Oval. Geelong might wield the axe from their AFL list and you might see a few seniors playing in Tassie this weekend.
Bendigo play Preston at Queen Elizabeth Oval and will be desperate. If any Essendon players get dropped they will also have a 4 day break and venture out to Bendigo. Preston look good so far but you never know.
Coburg full of confidence take on Werribee who will be keen after 2 losses. Last year Werribee flogged Coburg by 17 goals. Some of the Richmond players like Trent Knobel played for Coburg seconds on Saturday so they can give them enough time to recover in case they are required for Friday night's Richmond v Carlton game.
In the game of the round Sandringham take on Frankston at Trevor Barker Oval. No love lost here. Great game and great atmosphere.
Can the stand alone dolphins fix up the zebras who have won the last 2 flags ? This could set Frankston's season up for a top four. They could have the self belief. I will be going to this match as it will be full on.
Sandringham have started the season where they left off in last years Grand Final. Aaron Edwards will be one to watch. I saw this kid tear Richmond apart with strong pack grabs for West Coast. Got injured a week later and surprisingly delisted. I reckon he can kick 60/70 goals for the season. Will Paul Kennedy and Toby Conroy play against their old club ?
