THE Bendigo Bank Bombers have ruled out chasing embattled former AFL star Brendan Fevola.

The enigmatic full-forward is in football limbo after he was officially sacked by the Brisbane Lions on Sunday night.

Fevola has indicated he wants to continue to play football in a bid to regain a berth on an AFL list next year.

THE Bendigo Bank Bombers have added further firepower to their list with the signing of last year’s VFL leading goalkicker.

Matthew Little was the standout forward in the VFL last year, booting 84 goals in 20 games for Williamstown.

However, in a recruiting coup, the Bombers yesterday announced that Little had signed with the club for the 2011 VFL season.

The addition of Little follows the signing by the Bombers last week of Kangaroo Flat’s Bendigo Football League century goalkicker Justin Maddern.

Little has spent the past three seasons with Williamstown, during which he has kicked 178 goals in 55 senior matches.

SHANNON Grant has been reappointed coach of the Bendigo Bank Bombers for the 2011 VFL season.

In his first season, Grant took the club from last on the VFL ladder in 2009 to a finals appearance this season with a 10-8 win-loss ratio across the home and away matches.

The Bendigo Bombers will play their scheduled 2010 season home games against the Werribee Tigers and Collingwood Magpies at the Strathfieldsaye Football Netball Club’s Tannery Lane oval.

“We’re absolutely delighted to have these home games back in our local area” Bendigo’s General Manager, Peter Lodewijks said today.

THE Bendigo Bank Bombers squandered a 40-point half-time lead against the Gold Coast on Saturday as they lost their VFL match in Cairns with a kick after the siren.

Scores were level at 89 apiece when the final siren sounded.
