Recently a young journalist from the inner city local paper the 'Melbourne Times' had to ask her followers on twitter when the last VFA grand final was played at Victoria Park. The information just doesn't exist on-line, its like the VFA never existed.
That was a ripper of a game that went down to the wire. What a shame that clubs like Dandenong and no longer around. Not sure if the redlegs have had many reunions.
Yarravilel has one tomorrow at Yarraville Oval. Brunswick have a apst players every year where Schimma organises a yearly bbq. Next year 2013 would be 40 years since Caulfield and Prahran wion flags, 30 years since Preston and Springvale, 20 years since Werribee and go back further 50 years since Moorabbin's 1963 flag. Wonder how many reunions there will be ? I bet you Moorabbin will have one as 50 years is pretty significant.

Two observations the ground was in pretty ordinary condition for Princes Park and what a great crowd.
It also reminds us the what a loss the Dandenong FC and its massive drawing area was to senior football.
