Went and saw Sandy vs Werribee.. Werribee won very easily. I dont really know Sandy's side all that well, so couldnt tell you how strong a side they fielded... The Tigers had quite a few Bulldogs players in the side. Mitch Hahn and Cameron Faulkner both performed well.. Werribee won (as near as I can tell) 12.6 to 3.4 Hahn kicked 4 or 5, and Faulkner 3. Michael Turner and a bloke in jumper no. 41 on Werribees list looked good. The Port and Willy game was mostly a Roos v Pies practice match, with Port winning 12.5 to 6.10. Hamish McIntosh and Kris Shore both looking good. Sam Troon was useful on the wing. Anthony Rocca kicked a couple of goals.

No they didnt.. If it wasnt for the fact that it was about the only people I recognised was Ports coaching staff Smile A few first year Port recruits, and a couple from the two's who I knew by sight but not by name. I would agree with a few people here that Friday practice matches aren't real VFL practice matches ... Its really just an excuse for the AFL clubs to play their guys not involved in Wizard Cup games. From next week, Port start there practice matches proper, so there will be team lists then.

Preston & Geelong played again for the second week in a row. Last week Preston won by 5 points but this week Geelong won by a point. two very close games. Think these two sides play in round 1 so they play each other again in a couple weeks.

Coburg ran out winners against Port (final scores in the Coburg board), although hard to gauge each teams strengths. Werribee were strong winners over Williamstown. 14 Bulldogs players in the 'Bees side. Didn't see a Towners list, not sure how full of Collingwood players they were.

Port defeated Frankston in the main game yesterday.. Port had heap of North Melbourne players in the first half, and almost all Port players in the second half. Ended up playing with 16 on the ground and none on the bench.

Interesting to see that the VFL website has been updated, with this weeks practice matches, and last weeks results. Some games seem to be organised at late notice, so I will continue to put them up as a news article each monday.

can someone tell me if it is correct that willy wore collingwood jumpers on the weekend. I surely hope not cause we were promised it wouldn't happen again.

No, they wore the classic Willy jumper. The previous friday, against Port, they wore an all Black Collingwood training jumper, with a red "Fly Emirates" ad across it. Port played in a basic Red jumper with a white kangaroo on it (I wasnt impressed)
