NORTH Ballarat took full toll of a struggling Frankston yesterday to claim top position on the Victorian Football League ladder.
The reigning premier has become accustomed to leading the pack over the past few years, but this is the first time the Selkirk Roosters have been number one this season.

CAPTAIN Shaune Moloney becomes the first North Ballarat player to achieve Victorian Football League life membership on Sunday.
He automatically attains the honour on playing his 175th VFL senior game against Frankston at Frankston.

Selkirk Roosters coach Gerard FitzGerald said Moloney was an outstanding ambassador for North Ballarat and the competition.

"He's worked very hard on his football and has had an outstanding career.

Jones facing fitness test

NORTH Ballarat will learn this morning whether match-winning forward Corey Jones is fit to line up against Box Hill Hawks in the Victorian Football League at Box Hill tomorrow.
Jones will be tested by North Melbourne medical staff at Arden Street to determine whether he has recovered sufficiently from concussion suffered in a loss to Casey Scorpions on Saturday.

TWO-TIME North Ballarat premiership coach Gerard FitzGerald will again take charge of the Victorian Football League representative team this year.

FitzGerald will coach the Big V against Western Australian in Perth on May 22.

This is the fourth time he has been at the helm of the VFL for an interstate clash.
