The following players have been cleared to train with AFL clubs in the lead-up to the Pre-Season Draft.

The Tigers have appointed the position of General Manager to Des Ryan.

Ryan, who played football with Frankston after leaving Richmond, has more recently been involved with Richmond, working as their Sponsorship Manager.

Several players from the VFL were picked up in this years National AFL Draft. With the pre-season draft traditionally being the draft that most clubs pick more mature-age players, it is a good indication of the skills going around in the VFL.

The Springvale website reports that former Collingwood premiership player, Graham Wright, will be the 'vales Senior coach for season 2004. Graham coached locally in the EDFL with the North Ringwood club during seasons 2002 and 2003.

onslaught writes, "Sandringham has announced that Jamie Shanahan will fill the role of Assistant Coach for season 2004.

Shanahan was a member the Zebras 200 Premiership, playing as part of the Demons list."

The AFL website reports that Sandringham and the AFL have launched a modified version of Australian Rules footy called "AFL Recreational Football".
