Future of the development league Yes/No?
Body:

Could the development league be scrapped?

It sounds possibly like at least two current development league teams may not be very keen on keeping a team in.

Without it the VFL would be a lot different. It would mean more than likely lists be capped at 40 and at least 200+ youngs kids (League wide) not being on a VFL list.

For teams like Sandy,Northern,Box Hill,Werribee & Casey that only a handful of club players could be playing for their VFL team (Depending on AFL injuries)

One reason some clubs want it gone is it would save at least $100,000 a year with possibly some clubs wanting it gone being stand alone it means they could invest that money on a few better quality local players who attract a high price tag.

There's debates for both sides. But I think that most VFL supporters would hate to see the Development league Disappear.
