Probibly not fair but as Frankston is near the bottom of the ladder the ABC/VFL would think their games might be blowouts but that dosent excuse the fact that Collingwood have had so many TV games and they arent a premiership contender either!.
All the clubs should get at least one game on TV per season.
Frankston will only be guaranteed a tv game when they make the second week of the finals!
If they don't get a game at all it's absolutely disgraceful and totally disrespectful to the contribution that the Dolphins make to football in their region and to the VFL.
The Blues have been on twice and they are clearly a bottom four side, Collingwood three times, Nth Ballarat twice.
Geelong also get a poor run with TV games obviously the Cats aren't the flavour of the month with the Hawthorn and Carlton crew that run the competition.
Thats garbage if they dont have at least 2 TV games. Especially when you have teams such as collingwood who got 3 games in a row and probably wont play finals. The Dolphins deserve there time in the sun too!
Yes it's unfair but looking at this i don't think it will change
1989-Prahran
1988-Oakleigh not on tv
1989- camberwell never on tv
1990-camberwell never on tv
1991-Preston not on tv
1993-coburg-not on tv
1994-coburg-not on tv
For all the Frankston sympathisers, it should be noted and understood that Frankston have openly declared that their number one priority is to play their home games on a Sunday and not having an ABC TV home game on a Saturday does not concern them one iota !!!!
The best chance Frankston has to appear on ABC TV is to be the away side on a Saturday so all of these bloggers should take a deep breath and not bag AFL Victoria but instead question the decision making of the club.

What would an employee of the Williamstown Football Club know about the decision making of the Frankston Football Club?

I'm not so sure about that.
Last year Frankston had a schedule TV game (against Sandringham I think) that was to coincide with "I Love Frankston Day".
When the ABC decided to switch games, it left the Dolphins pretty angry.
I think Burbank might be right.. I do remember the Dolphins wanting Sunday games so they weren't competing with the local comp as it had a massive impact on their attendance at games.

The ideal game for coverage for the Dolphins would be their home game against the Blues in Round 15.
A chance of a Frankston win, could be a good contest.
Only problem is, Casey host Port Melbourne that round and depending on how things go, that could be a 1st v 2nd clash, thus deserving TV game status.
Other options include round 16 when the Dolphins host Box Hill (where the last two years they've had close games at Frankston)
In Round 20 Frankston are away to Coburg... certain win! :p
Definitely unfair. There should be a clause ensuring at least one televised game a season (pretty sure there used to be). I like BrekkyDJs selections.
