TAC Cup Future Stars

Good concept and all is Hutchy's show, but why wouldnt AFL Victoria seek to take segments of the show and put them on their website?

There's a perfect opportunity for them to load the 2-3 minute match reports from each game - with vision - and to upload the goalkicking challenge, interviews etc.

Baffles me that something so easy, something that would increase the audience - hence the exposure to the AFL Victoria brand and the TAC Cup competition - isn't done. It takes external parties - like Crocmedia who got the show off the ground - to promote the competition. Even last year it took the involvement of Ford to host and sponsor "The Oval" for AFL Victoria to embrace any sort of media exposure.

You just wonder what the marketing "gurus" do all day in at AFL Victoria. It's not hard to load things onto Youtube or an online media player.

Then again, having heard the Nathan Thompson ad for the VFL on SEN this morning I can tell the marketing of the competition isnt going too well!!

WTF! Hutchy has his own show?

Are you sure it's not about which are the best rocks to hide under, or the best bushes to hide behind?

Maybe it's about how to stalk an AFL player, without really stalking him.

Hutchy would get something out of it no doubt.

Given the countless plugs for their sponsors I suspect he's negotiated a good sponsorship deal that brings in some $$ but at least it gives good promotion of the U18 competition.

That's the trick - having a good salesman.

I've known of (and had myself) plenty of good ideas to market the VFL - but it all comes back to one point...

WHOSE GOING TO SELL IT???

Reminds me of 3XX, the station struggled, but there was no one to sell the advertising :(

Pete.
