Major Ins: bentick, valenti, galea, Keely, Johnston, lynch, sinclair, sandilands.
Good recruiting by port over summer. The midfield looks alot faster and stronger this season. Dean galea is a proven goal kicker who will be handy after our tall forward line didn't function last season. Looking forward to seeing Marc Johnston play, has dominated in the reserves but squeezed of opportunities. Keely can play while valenti and bentick are top line vfl players.
Malcolm lynch could be a wildcard if ayres can get his confidence up. Throw in a fit Baird and bonaddio after his shoulder opp and the port faithful should be getting excited.
I also know ayres beleives there are a number of tac cup boys who could come straight in and do well.
Bring on 2010, time to get your memberships!!!!
Is it Mark or Marc Johnson & is he the son of Wayne Johnson from Sandy ??
Yep he is the son of Wayne Johnston.
There are 3 Johnson brothers. Marc, romi and Clay. Marc played reserves all last year and will most probably do the same at Port
You dont rate him Zebraman???
He's ok but certainly didn't dominate the reserves last year. Hard to see him breaking into Ports seniors.
But of course I could well be proved wrong
Have the Burra kept guys like Jarrod Dalton and Chris Cain?
And how about the first year guys from 2009 like Sengstock and Suckling?
Thats fair enough. I recall seeing him play some senior games 2 years ago and he looked ok. Found the ball easily.
Zebraman, I think that assessment is on the money.
Don't know much about Clay but Marc & Tomi were never going to reach any great heights in the VFL. Big name to carry around.
Is Clay the youngest of the boys?
I can remember one fo the sons lost his life in Queensland some years back.
anyone know how myles pitt is going at port?
Dont know how Pitt is travelling but I know he can play and was unlucky not to find an AFL list. How did he find his way to Port??? Not a relation of David Pitt is he?? Looks like a similar player actually, and similar size.
